What You'll Do


The Global Mobility Specialist will provide administrative support for Samsung talent management strategy, including immigration and relocation (domestic/international) for new hires and existing employees, compliance and team projects. This role serves to maintain relationships with external Immigration counsel and Relocation/Mobility service partners, and consult with/advise internal Centers of Expertise (stakeholders) such as Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, Business Partners, Benefits, Payroll, Management teams and supported employees/candidates.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3 days per week on, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

  • Process monthly payroll for expatriates with leased housing management
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of participant services in accordance with agency and contractual standards.
  • Administer budget planning and process budget approvals, expense and invoice payments
  • Expatriate HR supporting from on-boarding to off-boarding (Payroll, Housing Lease, Benefit and other policies)
  • Utilize supervision appropriately, maintain open lines of communication, and provide updates on activity.
  • Ensure that all regulatory agreements, contracts, and fair housing laws are met as they relate to housing
  • Seasonal event planning and hospitality
  • Facilitating a great expatriate experience, including ensuring expatriate have relevant information in a timely manner, hosting for new hire's first day, ensuring accurate employee records/documentation, IT logistics, onboarding instructions etc.
  • Provide notices of contract renewals and rental adjustments as needed
  • Point of contact for relocation, repatriation and related processes to ensure an efficient and smooth experience for expatriates
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS system. Work with HR Operations to resolve system/data issues and data validation
  • Deliver orientations to new expats; may support other pre- and post-arrival activities
  • Complete expatriate's employment verifications (I-9) in a timely manner for various purpose
  • Provide comprehensive Housing Specialist services
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS system- Workday/NUMI- Work with people team Operations to resolve system/data issues and data validation
  • This will mean working closely with landlords and program participants while ensuring that move in and other documentation is completed accurately

What You Bring

  • Manage good relationship with other teams and derive cooperation.
  • Proficiency in Korean language preferred.
  • You're inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
  • Corporate relocation management experience is a plus.
  • An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.
  • Ability to manage data accurately and show responsibility on each task.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification processes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems and responsibilities – Workday, UltiPro.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in prioritizing and organizing multiple tasks.
  • You're collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches. Innovative and creative, you proactively explore new ideas and adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to drive improvements and continuously simplify processes with compliance in mind.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range

$68,550—$154,440 USD
