The Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team


Next Generation Direct to Consumer (withing Strategy and Transformation) is a newly formed team designed to help PepsiCo realize its next phase of growth. DTC will define and build innovative ways to directly connect with consumers creating more smiles with every sip, bite, and click. The group’s mission is to grow consumer lifetime value (CLV) across our portfolio through acquisition, retention, and engagement fueling PepsiCo's growth, 2B over 5 years. The DTC team will leverage external/industry knowledge and expertise and building partnerships across key teams withing the organization to create unique, advantaged platforms for PepsiCo.


Through direct consumer engagement, we will build 1:1 consumer relationship via differentiated consumer value exchange/value propositions through the deployment of a direct-to-consumer network enabled by direct-to-consumer digital products powered by an intelligent consumer data platform building the necessary capabilities and culture to evolve from product and costumer centricity to also becoming consumer centric.

  • Connecting with our consumers through meaningful, fun, community-oriented activations across Web 2.0.3.0 and the metaverse
  • Activate “Test and Learn” to scale
  • Unlock Power of 1—full portfolio of PepsiCo
  • Extend Consumer Lifetime Value (CLV)
  • Define and build global rewards platform for PEP, leveraging existing
  • Activating direct engagement with our consumers thorough first party consumer data
  • Improve brand affinity


The group will build new direct-to-consumer business as well as connect our existing D2C business through building common platforms for areas like capturing and enriching consumer data to expand consumer lifetime value by providing more comprehensive, valuable insights, and building necessary direct-to-consumer value chain components and tools.


The group will also become a central place for the D2C organization across the enterprise to connect and create an active community based on learning and knowledge sharing, generating new ideas (crowd sourcing), and improving existing efforts.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure NDA and SOW’s are in place and accessible to key constitutes
  • Collaborate with Director, Engagement Solutions to explore future growth opportunities across all existing touchpoints.
  • This Hyrbid role can be based in our US hub locations: Plano, Purchase, or Chicago**
  • Ensure compliance and change management with CDP (consumer data platform) Identify, assess and enable ways to leverage, update and activate off those data signals driving enhanced personalization at scale and consumer centricity
  • Work in a highly collaborative & cross-functional environment, including NA/Global counterparts on commercial and communication initiatives.
  • Enrich the value of consumer data, connections, and consumer engagement to enhance marketing activations and optimize media spend.
  • Assist in building out CDP playbooks and onboarding markets to CDP usage and education
  • Identify white space opportunities to optimize and enhance consumer data acquisition.
  • Design and pilot innovative consumer solutions that deliver an exchange of value to increase consumer lifetime value and fuel CDP efficiency.
  • Amplify team achievements by submissions to internal PEP/ external awards (BAM, Bevvies, Digiday, Smarties, ANA, Genious, etc.)
  • Support building/sharing out monthly/quarterly learnings with STL (Global CMOs, Insights and S&T LTs )
  • Manage and influence marketing leads, legal, IT, and PR to remove obstacles for PEP brands


Compensation and Benefits:


  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 - $ 135,600 based on a full-time schedule


Qualifications
  • Have a strategic mindset
  • 5+ years in a marketing role, 2+ years in CPG company preferred
  • Comfortable in highly ambiguous, new space
  • Agile with outstanding project management skills
  • Experience partnering with multiple business functions and managing cross functional teams towards shared goals
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong consumer advocate and ability to influence decisions
  • Disruptive thinker and innovator. Ideal candidate continually challenges the conventional practices + status quo – bringing in new agencies, an outside-in POV + consumer centricity
  • Creative, Highly innovative, intellectually curious, and a self-starter
  • Extensive digital experience – Preferably understanding of Web 3.0/metaverse, changes to consumer landscape and journey
  • A solution-oriented individual with a strong measurement backbone
  • Strong initiative and results orientation
  • A team player, who thrives on working collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem solving
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • 3+ years extensive digital experience (understanding of workings with social platforms + data requirements)
  • Should be analytical and a decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills
  • Clear communicator, who can deliver insights in an engaging, fresh, and impactful manner ability to “manage up”
