Job Description

Hawaiian Experience Spa is a different type of employer.

Hawaiian Experience Spa is a family-owned day spa founded in 2007 and operated in a manner guided by the Hawaiian principle of Aloha. Everything from our guest services to our employment practices to our physical design and marketing systems is driven by the spirit of Aloha. We currently have three Phoenix, AZ area day spas located in Scottsdale, Chandler and Goodyear.

Our spas offer a variety of services in the categories of massage therapy, facials and skin care, body treatments and couples’ experiences. Our therapeutic treatments, many of which are unique to our spas, are influenced by Hawaiian traditions, cultural practices and philosophies, and offer a fusion of spiritual and emotional renewing along with scientifically based therapeutic techniques.

We believe in propelling the spa forward by focusing on our ‘ohana (employee) experience as the number one driver of success and growth. The spa owners try to foster a workplace that is engaging and rewarding so that each ‘ohana member can have an awesome work experience while delivering a genuine and healing Hawaiian spa experience to our guests.

Spa Coordinator

While the Service Team (massage therapists and aestheticians) perform the treatments, none of it could happen without our front desk ‘ohana, our Spa Coordinators and Managers. The Desk Team runs the spas! In addition to having an awesome work experience for yourself, you are an integral part in making the other ‘ohana members have an awesome work experience and in making the guests have an exceptional Hawaiian experience during their visits. Remember, you are the first person and the last person the guest sees and that gives you a powerful opportunity to affect their experience.

Starting out as a new Spa Coordinator we will teach you all the aspects involved in running a day spa filled with aloha. Your day will be diverse, and your energy, enthusiasm and caring nature will help maintain our relaxing and therapeutic Hawaiian experience.

All Spa Coordinators can move up to Manager whenever they are ready if they desire to do so. You will not have to wait for a manager opening as is the case with a traditional employer. Instead, we strive to make everyone reach their full potential and goals as soon as possible.

Spa Coordinators help guests choose and book appointments, set up guests’ lockers and showers, check out guests and process their payments, assist guests with other purchases, file and enter information into our spa management software, help keep the spas clean, wash towels and robes, and generally perform whatever is needed to run the spa during your shift.

Why Join Our Team?

  • Paid sick time (FT and PT)
  • Weekly Payroll (Pay every Friday!)
  • TRIPS TO HAWAII : All full time ‘ohana earn points towards an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii for two! Just working your regular shifts earns you points but you also can get extra points, and earn your trip quicker, through various bonus initiatives. We want you to truly experience the aloha spirit and there is no better way to experience that than with a trip to Hawaii!
  • Family discounts on spa services Your family also gets big discounts on all services
  • Training in all aspects of running a busy day spa
  • Relaxed dress code and the freedom to be unique
  • Discount on products - buy them for yourself or as gifts for friends and family
  • Competitive hourly pay based on your work and life experience
  • Be part of an ‘ohana with hands on owners focused on you
  • Break rooms to help you recharge
  • Paid vacation increasing to three weeks per year! (FT Only)
  • Discount on services - Receive massages, facials and body treatments at a deeply discounted rate
  • Excellent opportunities for advancement if you wish to move into management
