Here’s what the job would look like:

The primary purpose of the Spa Manager is to assist the Spa Director to oversee the daily business operations of the spa, as well as recruit and train associates, and provide guests with excellent service.

Here are your responsibilities:
The Spa Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Ensure that all staff (licensed and non-licensed) follows Standards of Procedures, Service Standards, and all other guidelines.
  • Work with Spa Director and hotel sales department to secure group business that will utilize spa services.
  • Hire and schedule staff, schedule departmental meetings, schedule continuing education opportunities for all licensed staff members.
  • Order products and supplies for spa and maintain inventory of all professional and retail items.
  • Complete monthly P&L reports, work with Director in preparing annual budget.
  • All other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
  • Control revenue and expenditures; and
  • Maintain reports for Spa Gift Certificates.
  • Assist with advertising and promotion of Spa to guests and the community.
  • Ensure compliance with all OLS Hotels & Resorts, dba Springboard Hospitality (Springboard), policies and procedures that relate to the Spa, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist Spa Director in hiring, training, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel all spa team members according to Springboard policies and procedures

You may be assigned these:

  • The percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget; develop short and long term financial operating plans
  • Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, executive meetings, staff meetings, etc.
  • Participate in Manager on Duty coverage program, which may require occasional weekend stay overs
  • Participate in community public relations for the hotel.
  • Operate traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
Required Prior Experience:

  • One (1) year supervisory experience
  • Minimum two (2) years spa or salon experience

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Technology: Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
