Sourcing Manager - Research And Development / Lab

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sourcing Manager to join a leading company in the sustainable battery production industry. As a key member of the Research and Development team, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading sourcing events to support the impressive R&D and Lab teams as they support the company's growth trajectory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective sourcing events, building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with requirements. You will also be:

• Leading engagement with the R&D teams to map demand for equipment.
• Manage spend to identify opportunities and compliance to contract approval strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Lab/R&D in Chemical, Pharma, Battery, or Automotive Industry. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills, are essential.

This role is remote based in North America, the successful person should be able to work based on Eastern Time. There will be around 25% travel time.
