Solder Repair Technician Jobs

• Handle through-hole soldering, electronic devices, sockets, and various types of SMT components
• Repair product failures identified by troubleshooters and inspectors
• Contribute to the overall success of the Repair Department team goals and meet volume production needs
• Soldering with various types of IC packages such as BGA, QFN, QFP, SOIC, SOT
• Meet yearly individual goals and KPI’s
• Remove residue from chips with flux and clean printed circuit board assembly
• Support all product troubleshoot and repair efficiencies and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Ability to operate X-ray machines to identify solder issues and verify repair
• Repair/replace BGA and Non-BGA micro-electronic components using automated and hand soldering equipment
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, schematic diagrams, and layout to trace components in order to perform repairs on PCBA’s
• Take care of re-flow of solder paste, bridging, probe marks, and other similar surface conditions in solder joints

• Knowledge with SW tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Mid level experience of manual soldering methods such as direct contact soldering, and soldering using hot air
• Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610/IPC-J-STD-001 standards, preferred certified
• High power microscope experience required
• Self-motivator, committed to providing high-quality work
• High school diploma; technical school preferred with minimum 1-3 years soldering experience in a manufacturing/production environment
