Department: Repair Center
- Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
- Setup and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is necessary.
- Soldering, both through hole and SMT.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Evaluate message listings and digital content for appropriate formatting for each product type.
- Performs inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair of systems, components, and other products, using established procedures.
- Other job duties as required.
- Proficient in Mechanical Drawing and Electrical Schematics reading.
- Maintain ESD protected areas and all required charts.
- Set up and configure test fixtures, mechanical and/or electrical controls, cabling, power sources, and measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair to component level Customer returned repairs, both warranty and non-warranty.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- 3 + years of experience within Repair environments and using general mechanical assembly tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, programming tools, etc. required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Monitoring/assessing your performance to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Knowledge of testing, repair, and manufacturing procedures and systems.
- HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to read and explain schematics.
- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to speak clearly so others comprehend the delivery of the message.
- AS degree is preferred.
- Ability to follow and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines every day.
- Ability to solder through hole and surface mount components.
- Understanding of RS232, RS485, J1708, CAN bus, Ethernet, etc. is a plus
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, complex technical issues in a clear, concise matter, to individuals with little or no technical background.
- Ability to take initiative by identifying problems, conceptualizing resolutions, and implementing change along with having attention to detail skills.
- Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, setup functions, enter data, or process information.
- Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with details and fluctuating work volumes.
- Ability to prioritize and manage projects to ensure all deadlines are met is essential.
- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It doesn't involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
