Description

Interconnect Systems (ISI), a Molex company, manufactures high performance electronic assemblies in our Camarillo, CA factory. We currently have an opening for a Soldering and Rework Technician. Your skills will directly impact the current and future growth for the company. We are a world class operation using industry accepted process controls in manufacturing and quality to help us maintain and continually improve our excellence in providing electronics solutions to the industry.

What You Will Do

  • Inspect and verify the quality of solder joints and components using visual inspection, magnification, X-ray or other methods.
  • Use soldering irons, hot air stations, microscopes, tweezers and other hand tools to perform soldering and rework tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Identify solder defects, errors and failures in PCBs assemblies.
  • Solder and rework surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to drawings, schematics and instructions.
  • Document and report soldering and rework activities, issues and results.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience as a soldering technician, rework technician or similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and vision.
  • Ability to solder with use of a microscope.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for soldering and rework.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • IPC-A-610 certified.
  • BGA rework station experience.
  • J-STD-001 certified.
