This is a casual, grant funded position which is subject to renewal by June 30, 2023.
Chadwick Center, KidSTART Clinic, is an outpatient behavioral health program that serves young children with social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs and their caregivers. The program is funded by the County of San Diego, Behavioral Health Services.
LEVEL 1 ~
JOB SUMMARY:
The Social Worker I applies principles of Social Work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy and case management. In all departments, practices as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker I assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team. Utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team. Also may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. The Social Worker may also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or related field
1 year of experience
1 year of pediatric professional experience
Valid California's driver's license with proof of insurance
Registration with the State of California as an ASW or MFTI, as appropriate by discipline
Due to the business needs of the department, bilingual English/Spanish is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience
Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
Experience in assessment and treatment of infants, toddlers and preschoolers
Formal training and experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting
The expected hiring range for this position is $35.84 to $49.28
LEVEL 2 ~
JOB SUMMARY:
The Social Worker II applies the principles of social work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy and case management as a primary provider and/or as ancillary support to the primary medical provider. In all departments, practices as a member of multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker II assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team. Utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team. Also may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. As assigned, will provide supervision to Interns and unlicensed staff. May also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or behavioral health field
2 – 4 years of experience
Valid California's driver's license with proof of insurance
Licensure in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage & Family Therapist
2 years of pediatric professional experience
Due to the business needs of the department, bilingual English/Spanish is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Clinical Supervision in the State of California
Formal training and experience in assessment and treatment of trauma
Experience in assessment and treatment of infants, toddlers and preschoolers
Formal training and experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting
Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
