A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOCIAL WORK COUNSELOR

As our new Social Work Counselor, you are the one who makes a real difference in the lives of our youth and young adult program participants! You get to provide them with individual and group counseling sessions and keep in touch with them regularly to make sure they meet the program's standards. Not only that, but you also connect them with internal and external services that suit their needs best! You conduct comprehensive assessments and write detailed progress notes about each participant.

You help them develop educational and career-related goals based on our motivational interviewing process. Maintaining open communication with our participants and graduates is important and you do that through channels like face-to-face contact, phone calls, and even Facebook. Super organized, you keep their files, notes, and reports up to date.

You're a real pro when it comes to providing outcomes reporting and conducting follow-up services for our program graduates. You are always eager to learn and participate in ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and meetings to stay up to date about our nonprofit. We can tell that you love helping your clients find success, and it brings you immense satisfaction to know you're thriving in this social work position!
