Iowa Figure Skating Academy (IFSA) is a non-profit organization based in Urbandale, Iowa. We are a US Figure Skating Association approved sports club that provides advanced figure skating training and beginner classes for all ages. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all our members.


Role Description

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a hybrid role, with the majority of the work taking place in Urbandale, Iowa, but with some flexibility for remote work. The Social Media Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement. This includes creating content, managing campaigns, and optimizing social media channels.


Responsibilities

  • Create social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Design event posters, advertisements, and brochures
  • Livestream performances
  • Take photos during club events and activies
  • Monitor and update website layouts
  • Formulate the weekly/monthly newsletter


Qualifications

  • Experience with digital marketing and analytics tools
  • Basic knowledge of social media marketing, communication, content strategy, and social media optimization (SMO)
  • Strongly prefer those who are currently working towards or have a degree in graphic design or marketing
  • Must be 18+ of age
  • Knowledge of the figure skating industry is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Apps)
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong graphic design skills
