Job Description

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is a vibrant, fast-growing beauty brand full of opportunities for professional growth. We are hiring an experienced, social-obsessed Social Media talent to lead a social trajectory and competitive advantage for our brand. You will be part of a close-knit digital team where you can look forward to support, collaboration, and creativity from a group of passionate individuals.

The ideal candidate for this role will be profoundly creative and highly strategic. You will create a strategy to develop content that places our brand in relevancy while delivering on KPI to meet high-level business goals.


In This Role You Will:

  • Develop and manage a social media strategy with clear, measurable goals aligning with business objectives and exceeding benchmarks.
  • Strategize cross-channel, content positioning standard (visual and written) - briefing, setting targets and timelines for key initiatives. Deliver looped communication - leveling up social listening insights to Brand and Digital teams to optimize content and community engagement.
  • Lead on research, vetting, and evaluating social tech & solutions critical workstreams.
  • Develop and manage relationships with social vendors, business partners, and agency resources to enable Social Platform best practices, competitive scorecards, and successful partnerships with other brands.
  • Execute strong consistency in communicating brand values while balancing consumer needs and serving as a strong advocate for our community.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Brand, Influencer, and Growth team members to oversee the development of audience targeting, messaging, and optimization strategies and ensure continuous improvement in owned and earned media quality.
  • Obsessed with adaptability, resilience, and self-education for emerging channels - leveling up opportunities to test, learn, and solidify brand differentiation.
  • Lead with a passion for compelling storytelling that elevates our founders and retail partnerships (like Sephora) and supports new and evergreen products.
  • Multiply content into channel-specific strategies that meet consumer expectations and maintain a trend-forward but relatable positioning of concepts from beginner to advanced beauty enthusiasts.
  • Integrate into the Digital Team - interwoven with channel owners across Influencer Marketing, Multi-Media Production, and Paid Media - and plan strategies to catapult our brand to increased awareness and quality engagement.
  • Serve as the brand expert on our global social accounts, meeting once a month to share insights and calendar activations.
  • Lead the development and presentation of social media reporting, automated dashboards, audits, playbooks, and campaign planning.
  • Serve as the "editor-in-chief" for all social content to ensure quality, clarity, and consistency with brand guidelines while executing content production and organizing requests for channel needs.
  • Monitor and analyze social media campaign performance data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and make data-driven recommendations to the company.

Qualifications Required for the Position:

  • 6-8 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering engagement-driven growth strategies across diverse social channels - including TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, and YT.
  • Possess a deep understanding of TikTok trends and the ability to discern between quality organic and paid content. Advocate for our community, creators, and opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Experience managing direct report(s).
  • Collaborator with strong leadership skills that Inspire an inclusive culture to develop talent and nurture positivity across the team. Experience executing effective, cross-functional communication to fill process gaps with solution-oriented conversations.
  • Strong desire to build an authentic relationship with the audience.
  • Resourceful and upbeat, with a solution-based perspective.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience analyzing metrics to track success and inform future strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Monday.com, Tribe Dynamics, Dash Hudson, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Content Management Systems.
  • Possess a balance of creative and data-driven skill sets, with the ability to draw insights from both sides of your brain to formulate strategies and develop innovative campaign planning, but also present at the moment to further accelerate trending UGC content about our brand.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mastery across social platforms, with a portfolio to back it up - showcasing strategic growth tactics for increased follower count / viral-viewed content, a strong eye for brand storytelling, and creative talent.
  • Attention to detail, strong time management/organizational skills, and copywriting & copy-editing skills.
  • Effective communicator that prioritizes team building, decisiveness, and openness to evaluate different perspectives. Ability to discern conversations that matter and level them up to VP of Digital. Trustworthy, professional communication style, a positive attitude, and a roll-up-sleeves mentality when needed.
  • Experience in Influencer Marketing or Brand Partnerships is a plus.


Work Environment:

Hybrid. New York Metropolitan based. Ability to travel based on business needs.
