Who We’re Looking For
Melissa Wood Health is seeking a Social Media Associate to join the Marketing team. This Social Media Associate will play a primary role in the development of TikTok content for MWH account that brings to life the identity of the founder and the brand. Under the guidance of our Social Media Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of our online social community, from concepting big ideas, to executing day-to-day tasks across TikTok, to supporting other MWH social channels, mostly Instagram. You will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support brand initiatives on our social channels and execute the Social Media Calendar.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the health and wellness space, awareness of Melissa Wood-Tepperberg and the MWH brand, and the keen ability to create virality with TikTok content.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in overall conceptualizing, creating and editing content for Social
- Assist with weekend posting + community management
- Work closely with the founder on creating and executing daily content for TikTok
- Support the management of the MWH brand across the following social platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook & Linkedin
- Support on managing performance and reporting growth metrics in order to adjust strategy for optimizing social media growth.
- Lead logistical duties for TikTok content creation prep and planning including coordinating schedules for shoots, managing props, selecting locations and organizing sets, etc.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally on laying out content calendars and adhering to posting schedules
- Support the content team in developing a social strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy
- “24/7 always on” mindset providing real-time updates and recommendations based on social listening across owned platforms and beyond
- Create project briefs and support in project management by outlining and organizing content requests, managing and sharing content in an organized and effective way
- Support in monitoring and identifying trending, engaging and educational video content across TikTok
Requirements:
- Must be agile and flexible and have the ability to pivot
- Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and dealing with ambiguity
- Must be scrappy - someone who can do a lot with a little
- Ability to work in the office 1-3 days per week at a minimum
- 1-2 years of social media experience is ideal
- Proficient in TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Canva and/or Photoshop, editing software i.e. Capcut, and any new ideas you may bring to the table!
- Has a clear understanding of and passion for the MWH brand vision and voice
- Must be based in NYC area
- Upbeat, personable, positive, motivating, can-do/will-do attitude
- TikTok Native
- Demonstrates ability to fully execute and manage multiple projects following top-line direction from Social Media Manager whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Have strong and fast video editing skills within native social media platform (TikTok) and a good eye for creating engaging edits
- They must possess excellent creative, organizational, and communication skills
