Job Description
Amerapex is looking for a positive, self-directed professional that will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) and Payroll department. The HR Manager will provide support and guidance to employees & managers in a variety of HR-related topics & employee relations issues.


Essential Functions


  • Ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively, exercise sound judgement and implement solutions.
  • Proactively multi-task HR related projects to meet business needs.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees & managers in a variety of HR-related topics & employee relations issues.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department providing adequate guidance and training to support staff.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Manage staffing needs, recruiting, retention, terminations, and new hire on-boarding.


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Possesses strong conflict resolution and team building skills and techniques.

Education And Experience


  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience, Degree in related field preferred.


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
