About the role


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as Senior Vice President for our Workplace division in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing sales and profit and loss (P&L) for our fast-growing SaaS business. Our target market includes Fortune 1,000 companies, governments, and other non-education public sector entities in the United States and Canada. You will play a crucial role in driving acquisition, cross-selling, and upselling billings to maximize revenue and EBITDA. Additionally, you will build, develop and retain a world-class team of sales professionals. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and play a pivotal role in strengthening, streamlining, systematising, and leading our Workplace sales team in North America. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing partnerships with consultancies and channel partners to enhance our market reach and growth opportunities.


Main Responsibilities


  • Maintain technical knowledge to support understanding of client's requirements and the positioning of Texthelp group products
  • Own, build, and lead the North America Workplace Team comprising of New Business Acquisition team, Customer Account Manager team and Customer Success team (initially, in conjunction with the NA Education team)
  • Identify training, development & skills needs for yourself and your team and regularly check in on the development plan progress
  • Achieve commercial sales targets by ensuring individual and team quarterly and yearly targets are met or exceeded
  • Lead a culture of sales excellence through coaching and developing the sales team
  • Build a performance culture that is data-driven and has an ongoing growth mindset and seeks to continually improve, including:
  • Working with senior management to optimise the process and performance of the sales team
  • Build a world-class SAAS organisation through a focus on productivity and aligning the organisation structures and targets around tracking and delivering world-class SAAS metrics including Net Dollar Retention, Gross Dollar Retention, Churn, Annual Recurring Revenue Growth %, Average Revenue Per Account, LTV:CAC etc.
  • Directly support significant sales opportunities and large contract negotiations with team members when needed to support their efforts
  • Partner with marketing to build campaign and event strategies to grow the pipeline.
  • Working with team members to maintain an accurate forecast and CRM hygiene including accurate and consistent activity recording
  • Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for the senior leadership team and the board as required
  • Support the growth and development of the organisation, inspiring and motivating the team for the future
  • Proactively manage the performance of your direct reports and their teams, reviewing objectives and providing feedback on a regular basis.

Essential Criteria

  • Track record of providing accurate and timely activity, pipe and sales performance reporting
  • Ability to track and improve sales productivity to enable quota attainment in an efficient way
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the enterprise and public sector HR market
  • Data-driven with proven experience in managing a sales organisation to a set of KPIs
  • Deep understanding of SAAS sales strategies and associated metrics
  • 8+ years’ experience at an executive/senior level leading SAAS sales teams or leading HR technology teams
  • Ability to communicate a compelling vision to your sales team
  • Proven ability to motivate and mentor teams, embedding a culture of high performance
  • Proven record of building teams and onboarding new sales reps.
