Job Description
Are you excited about working at cloud scale? Come join the Azure Hyperscale Networking team as we work on our mission to design, develop, test, deploy and operate the world’s best network. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically experienced leader to help scale up our global network.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will be responsible for the overall velocity and quality of network scale out. You will drive business value by working across organizations to meet Microsoft customer capacity needs in Microsoft datacenters and edge sites. You will learn about the Microsoft Cloud and accelerate your career growth by driving design of network and software platforms within the Network team and across partner infrastructure organizations in Microsoft.
Responsibilities
  • You will identify complex opportunities and gaps across multiple product and service feature areas, then collaborate with other departments to evaluate opportunity, define solution options, and propose a roadmap.
  • You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
  • You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.
  • You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.
  • You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
