As the Senior Supply Chain Associate - Quote Analyst, you’ll provide administrative support directly related to supply chain department activities, managers and staff. You’ll coordinate purchasing activities with internal partners to acquire products and services in a cost effective and timely manner. By supporting proposal activities that meet program needs and requirements, you’ll review, analyze and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, purchase order revisions, and requests for quotes to suppliers. What you bring to the table:
- Assignments may require support of pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions and invoice discrepancies
- Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions
- Focus is on completing tasks or activities in compliance with policies and procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Keeps abreast of new policies, procedures, regulations, directives, and priorities
- Develops and maintain resources for assigned commodity items
- May assist Buyers in expediting orders
- Supports the proposal development activities in the entry of quotes into the proposal system
- Processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders, purchase order revisions, and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Receives minimal instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
- May assist Buyers in contacting internal customers to obtain information or resolve issues
- Prepares standard requests for quotation
- Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation
- May be tasked with basic procurement/proposal duties at the lowest risk level
- Provides administrative support directly related to supply chain department activities, managers and staff
- Coordinates purchasing activities with internal partners to acquire products and services in a cost effective and timely manner
- May assist on small/medium complexity proposals
- Supports proposal activities to meet Program needs and requirements
What sets you apart:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS office and other software tools
- Strong administrative skills
- Extensive experience in working with BOMs
- Considerable ability to apply knowledge, creativity, and skill to complete specialized tasks
- Determines tasks, priorities, and goals within the scope of the position; ability to independently handle associated routine activities
- Requires decision-making but with minimal financial implications to the company General Dynamics Proprietary Information
- Strong experience in working with supplier quotes
- Good problem-solving skills
- Considerable understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a varied range of tasks
- Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative with supervisor input where required
