Job Description

This position will reside within Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS) in the Global Market Enablement Team. The GSSS Market Enablement Supervisor will be responsible for supporting needs of the Americas markets by leveraging services and resources of broader GSSS teams and category strategies. The role involves partnering with internal stakeholders in negotiating pricing and contracts, calculating and reporting savings, supplier management, procurement methodologies. The Market Enablement team helps bridge-the-gap between Global Supply Chain and the markets we serve to ensure it’s a mutually-beneficial relationship and to strengthen the voice of the markets. Market Enablement is unique in that we are the only Global team that is entirely Market facing and holistically works across all non-food categories.

The GSSS Market Enablement Supervisor will report to a GSSS Market Enablement Manager and will work closely with indirect procurement organizations in multiple markets within Global Supply Chain, and GSSS internal stakeholders.


Principal Accountabilities include,but are not limited to:

Support the Americas markets by optimizing market indirect sourcing capabilities and incorporating market input into Global sourcing strategies to maximize value across the system:

  • Executing necessary communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to internal customers and partners
  • Conduct outreach and alignment of sourcing processes with other organizations within McDonald’s
  • Development of new projects pipeline, forecasting required resources and benefits
  • Ongoing management of stakeholder relationships, influencing to increase engagement over time
  • Applying Decision Making (DAI) methodology to determine roles, strategy, and tactics for contributing resources during the sourcing process
  • Partner with other Global and local Sourcing Managers to identify processes, metrics, and tools to optimize sourcing and share best practices
  • Aligning local / regional / global sourcing or initiative strategies and calendars
  • Development of presentation materials for department and leadership updates
  • Other strategic projects as identified via stakeholder request, and business need
Qualifications

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in supply chain or commensurate experience in related functions
  • Advanced education is a plus (e.g. MBA)
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, General Management, Marketing, Financeor equivalent field experience is required.
  • Project Management Certification is a plus (PMP)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in effective communication via written and oral methods.
  • Possess a working knowledge of procurement standard methodologies such as sourcing,RFP processes including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, anddevelopment; must be able to demonstrate “hands-on” experience
  • Able to problem solve and search for answers using internal and external
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Build positive working relationships both internally and externally to provideMcDonald’s with goods and services at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership and lowestrisk
  • Negotiate to “grow the pie” and provide mutually helpful contracts and businessrelationships
  • Organized and able to effectively handle a number of responsibilities/projects at once
  • Think critically in order to structure analyses and processes to solve poorly definedproblems
