Transamerica is organized by lines of business (Life Insurance, Annuities, Mutual Funds, Retirement Plans, Employee Benefits, and Financial Assets), which are supported by Transamerica Corporate (Corporate Development; Finance; Internal Audit; Legislative, Regulatory & Policy; Office of the CEO; People, Places & Brand; Risk; and Technology).
Summary
Serves as a subject matter expert within the Financial Analysis group performing accounting, financial reporting and analysis functions. Applies financial knowledge and judgment to activities that are diverse and complex in order to validate the integrity of financial analysis. Analyzes Budget/Forecasting projections compared to actual financial reporting results, specifically around investments and the corporate product line. Experience and familiarity with Solvency II reporting is ideal.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide a higher level of financial analysis understanding to aid in solving problems in unique ways.
  • Assist department leadership team in implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Work with other departments to ensure business issues are resolved.
  • Review and interpret data for the purpose of determining past performance and/or to project financial results; shares information with others and aids in planning of next steps for financial data.
  • Share high-level knowledge with others in order to promote further development of the department.
  • Recommend and lead implementation of changes to processes to achieve efficiencies through the use of technology.
  • Lead projects across the Financial Analysis group as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight years of experience, with degree.
  • Written/verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting/finance.
  • Advanced computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of investments, insurance products/premiums.
Working Conditions:
  • Non-commuting Remote employees will not be assigned to report to a Company office location (although they may need to travel to a Company office upon request) and will perform their work remotely.

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $99,000-$131,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
