The Zillow Group Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Team builds the infrastructure to empower user authentication and authorization across Zillow Group (ZG) brands. About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, working on the CIAM Authorization Engineering team, you will drive the architecture and implementation of the next generation of authorization on CIAM platform. This platform enables teams across ZG to quickly build and maintain the unified authorization experience for consumers and internal services. Our work has a significant impact in support of Zillow's mission to build the most trusted home-related marketplace in the world!

• Works with the leadership team closely to drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the adoption of new technologies and standards in the platform.
• Identifies cultural and process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates and effectively connects with multi-functional teams comprising of business partners, engineers, and product management to produce the best solutions possible.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $152,500.00 - $243,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

We are looking for someone who has a breadth of experience using technologies and practices that can apply the right solution for each problem.

• Passionate about setting standard methodologies and improving for testing, code quality, and maintainability.
• Experience with architecting, building and maintaining high-quality API, microservice, highly available services at scale.
• Have a good knowledge of authorization, including OAuth 2, RBAC/ABAC.
• 5+ years of software development experience with modern development technologies like ES6, React, Typescript that are used to deliver front-end user interfaces, and high proficiency in Java or other backend equivalent languages for back-end services.
• Familiar with Git, Gitlab, Gradle, Maven, or other CI/CD pipelines used to automate build, integration and deployment.

Bonus points if you:

• Strong skills in debugging applications in various environments
• Knowledge of security engineering and application security.
• Experience with Cloud environments and running production services on them.
