WHAT WE OFFER
The Senior Scientist will collaborate with R&D colleges to develop analytical test methods, solve customer problems, and support new patents. They will work in a Research & Development team to help design future UV curable coatings for optical fiber, while working in a modern R&D lab utilizing various analytical lab equipment to support product development.
Major Responsibilities
  • Intellectual property support
  • HPLC, GPC
  • Thermal Analysis
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Validate methods and equipment
  • Trouble shooting customer and production issues
  • Conduct laboratory research
  • Spectroscopy
  • DSC, TGA
  • Interpret data and write reports
  • GC, GC-MS
  • Design analytical test methods
  • Perform process and product development
  • NMR
  • IR, NIR, UV-Vis
  • Use analytical techniques and instruments:
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science with 2+ years of related experience
OR
  • PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science with 0+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Analytical test method development
  • Project management experience
  • Product development
  • Master's Degree in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science with 5+ years of related experience OR PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science with 0-2+ years of related experience
  • IP management experience
  • Customer support
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Team oriented
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership aptitude
