Data Scientist - Senior Associate

As a Data Scientist - Senior Associate you will work with senior product managers and data scientists to develop and execute analytical solutions to drive prospecting, sales engagement and digital marketing. The role works on highly visible Commercial Banking projects for our payments business, that help grow new sales and increase the productivity of our sales team. The Commercial Banking Payment Analytics team is looking for an motivated and curious associate Data Science to help drive our program forward.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement data science and analytic strategies for clients and partners including recommendations on analytical products, services, protocols, and standards
• Build and enforce data quality rules to ensure consistency around models
• Synthesizedata, for analytical needs by cross line of business teams and for consumption by senior business executives
• Provide critical thinking to resolve issues in underlying data models and improve them over time
• Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in various financial and operational domains to support diverse book of work
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate data discoveries and processes into operational capabilities

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Ability to work in project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, and strategic
• Excellent communicator able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and manner
• Experience across broad range of modern data science and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, AWS Hive, Hadoop, Python)
• 3 years of professional data science experience (or related discipline such as consulting, modeling, data analysis)
• Undergraduate degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering), data bootcamp certification
• Working Knowledge of Alteryx, or similar data processing tools
• Knowledge of modern data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques (e.g., decision trees, regressions, trends, string similarity, behavioral analytics, look-a-like models)

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Financial services background preferred, but not required
• Experience at top tier analytics consulting firm is a plus
• Experience with Visualization tool such as Qlik or Tableau
