Sr Scientist Analytical Chemistry

This position is independently responsible for developing robust analytical processes of products that are currently commercialized, as well as for new products that are being developed using laboratory techniques including HPLC, dynamic light scattering (DLS), GC/MS, FTIR spectroscopy, dissolution testing, and other instrumentation.The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical background but should also be curious about formulation chemistry.This position will require working within the quality parameters of food-grade manufacturing (SQF and GMP) and will coordinate all raw material samples and finished products to be either sent to 3rd-party labs or tested in house for ID, assay, and microbial testing.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and supervise the installation of lab equipment necessary to help test new proprietary formulations.
• Work with the product-development team to help create new products for dietary supplement industry.
• Analyze and interpret the results of complex analytical data.
• Implement quality improvement processes that achieve the company’s overall quality objectives.
• Send raw materials and finished goods out for 3rd-party analyses or test in house.
• Develop CoA’s for agricultural and food-grade products.
