Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

What does a great Senior Quality Assurance Engineer do?

• You'll keep in touch with trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.
• You'll apply expertise related to estimating, designing, developing, and executing automatic test procedures and cases based on requirements relevant to automated test planning and creation for product and system testing.
• Perform functional and regression testing for a suite of applications that make up the North Front-end.
• You'll actively support and provide guidance on the company's software engineering and test processes, procedures, standards and customer use cases.

What you will do:

• Performs data analysis and debugging for defects
• Manage at least one Quality Assurance (QA) test region so it’s always up-to-date with the latest code
• Creates/Maintains Test Plans, Test Strategy, Test Cases, Traceability Metrics, Test Summary Reports, and Test Scripts for end-to-end functionality testing and the current defect tracking tool - JIRA
• Work with various development teams to discuss project requirements and resolve defects, as well as determine the types of transactions and test cases needed to meet the project requirements
• Runs association testing for Spring Release and Fall Release enhancements for Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, Diners, etc. for different Authorization and Settlement formats
• Communicate with project managers and developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment
• Maintains individual and shared testing environments – updating environments with new versions/builds of code and configuration changes
• Responsible for tracking the full life cycle of the defects using JIRA and Confluence

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience with both manual and automated testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, and Selenium
• 3+ years of experience in acceptance testing and regression testing for several applications
• 5+ years of experience with Unix - Shell scripts and PERL scripts
• 3+ years of experience with GIT

What would be great to have:

• Experience with merchant payment processing: authorizations at either point-of-sale or Card-Not-Present (eCommerce/digital), clearing & settlement systems, merchant on-boarding, merchant reporting, fraud/security analytics
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience with payment industry applications
