Job Title
Quality Assurance EngineerWhat does a successful Quality Assurance Engineer do at Fiserv?
- You'll keep in touch with trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.
- You'll work closely with Technical Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other departments (operations, support and IT).
- You'll apply expertise related to estimating, designing, developing, and executing automatic test procedures and cases based on requirements relevant to automated test planning and creation for product and system testing.
- You'll actively support and provide guidance on the company's software engineering and test processes, procedures, standards and customer use cases.
What you will do:
- Assist in planning, analyzing, designing, developing, and executing training relative to manual testing, automation/load testing tools and methodologies
- Design, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts
- Plan and execute functional and system level testing of products across all platforms to test various features
- Use appropriate quality control tools to uncover defects and discover the state of the code
- Design and execute Regression Test Packs using front-end and back-end test scripts using CI/CD tools
- Analyze and understand each product’s environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested
- Write effective manual and automated test cases or automated frameworks and perform software defect tracking and regression for identified software release
- Participate in design activity with other programmers on technical aspects relating to testing, including functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience implementing test methodologies and tools (including Selenium, Junit, Java, JIRA, and Quality Center) to write automated test script and test cases for software products
- Experience in development of CI/CD or DevOps testing models
- 5+ years of QA testing experience
- 5+ years of experience with the BDD framework
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
What would be great to have:
- Experience with Cypress/Playwright
- Experience in financial services or payments industry
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field or equivalent work experience
