About Quality Assurance at UPS Technology:
Our Quality Assurance (QA) team provides world-class automation and quality improvement. They rise to the challenge of testing multiple unique releases, impacting UPSers and customers alike. Our QA teams find and remove any glitches that could jeopardize our integrity. On our QA team, you’ll be at the forefront of keeping our software sailing ahead smoothly.

About this role:

The Software Quality Engineer executes Information Services (I.S.) Quality Assurance (QA) processes with moderate guidance. He/She identifies problems, generates alternatives, and recommends solutions within defined processes. This position documents the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. He/She collaborates effectively with QA team members, application developers, vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the execution of testing procedures. This position supports testing efforts of small to medium complexity. The Software Quality Engineer is knowledgeable of the key processes and technology within the business functions he/she supports.

The Software Quality Engineer must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to work with a team and independently. Should have working knowledge of Agile, DevOps environments, and script automation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Java Programming and Scrum
• Mainframe knowledge a plus
• Experience with SQL Language, Selenium, JMeter, MQ, Python, and Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with OpenShift, Jenkins, and an automation framework such as Robot or Cucumber
