As Sr. Manager, Total Rewards & HRIS, your essential job functions will include the following:
- Originate strategic best practices and objectives for your assigned teams and lead the coordination of implementation and change management across the entities.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset within the People Department, which in turn will allow for enhanced effectiveness in support of the business.
- Partner closely with members of the People Department Leadership Team to foster a team-oriented approach; ensure collaborative and consistent communication. Establish and maintain a strong relationship with key partners from the business to support the efforts of the HR Business Partner team and drive alignment around critical areas of influence.
- Regularly meet with department leaders to understand the functional and business goals and initiatives and provide insight, flexible and innovative solutions, and best practices to help drive performance and growth.
- Accountable for the creation and enhancement of policies and programs for your assigned functional areas for the entire Dealer Tire Family of Companies, with a strategic and holistic focus on enhancements and harmonization across the entities for efficient, compliant and centralized administration.
Benefits & Payroll
- Manage an enterprise-wide 401(k) retirement plan with support from ERISA counsel and Investment Committee.
- Ensure all tax filings including annual W2 distribution are completed accurately and within mandated timelines.
- Provide direction and oversight regarding pay policies/programs, payroll processes and employee benefit programs/services for effectiveness and cost containment.
- Manage year-end process including tax and W2 file reconciliation between HRIS, TPA, and corporate general ledger, including but not limited to taxes, pre- and post-tax health and welfare and retirement plan deductions and state mandated deductions.
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with all internal and external policies, including SOX compliance procedures and external state and federal regulations.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws and proactively informs the HR departments across the Dealer Tire Family of Companies and the business of changes that impact payroll, benefits, workers comp, unemployment, or leaves of absences.
- In partnership with senior leadership and benefits broker, plan and execute the strategic vision for the Dealer Tires Family of Companies’ Benefit plans and programs ensuring competitiveness in the market to support attraction and retention of key talent.
- Ensure accurate processing of all weekly, bi-weekly, and multi-state domestic payrolls across the entities with overall responsibility for all scheduled and non-scheduled payroll runs, including special pays and manual checks.
HRIS
- Oversee the maintenance of and strategy for all HR technology, ensuring data integrity within the systems.
- Evaluate the integration of the Company’s various human capital management systems, determine appropriate balance of employee self-service vs. People Department supported approach to information management and drive improvement in systems over time in alignment with budget objectives.
- Ensure optimization of the HRIS as system of record; ensure accurate and timely reporting to support business initiatives.
Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching
- Provide leadership, coaching and development opportunities for the assigned team members.
- Complete a performance evaluation of each team member and recommend appropriate action such as promotions, counseling, and termination.
- Determine staffing needs, interview potential candidates, and hire associates.
- Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
- Communicate operational priorities, objectives, and goals.

Position Requirements

- An undergraduate degree is required (or commensurate experience). An MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
- Proven ability to set goals, meet timelines and be responsible to departmental needs.
- 8+ years of experience within the People field with proven experience within Benefits and Payroll, holding leadership roles within these fields.
- A professional who demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit; moving others to action by planning, motivating, organizing, influencing and driving initiatives to completion.
- Ability to serve as both a Departmental and Organizational leader to drive value for Dealer Tire.
- Experience managing HRIS with the Workday ecosystem is preferred,
- Proven ability to work autonomously and lead large scale projects in fast paced organizations.

Physical Job Requirements
- Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
- Travel as necessary (<10%).
Drug Policy

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting base salary is expected to be between $120,000/yr. to $155,000/yr. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
