A growing food manufacturing organization is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing - Packaging. This established company generated $750M in revenue last year in their third straight year of breaking revenue and profit records; they have tripled their profit margin over the past 4 years. The organization values its culture, collaboration, strong leadership, and involvement in the community. This role will define and develop sourcing strategy for all packaging while working closely with internal teams and fostering relationships with suppliers. This is a hybrid role that requires sitting out of their office in the Greater Boston Area 3 days a week, Monday-Wednesday; flexible hours. A relocation package is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and manage vendor and industry relationships
• Other duties may be assigned as role develops
• Cross-functional leadership across owned strategic supply categories to push value added projects
• Development and Implementation of strategic sourcing strategies that drive overall best value
• Manage a total spend between $50-80M
• Evaluate commodity/raw material market trends to make strategic recommendations for market commodity management
• Develop and nurture overall supplier relationships by managing supplier performance, capability development, cost, and quality improvements
• Overall drive of Total Cost of Ownership, thinking, cost modeling, and analytics for the group

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years experience in direct sourcing, purchasing, or procurement required; experience with packaging materials, indirect materials, or food ingredients preferred
• Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field such as Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or another Purchasing or Operations related field
• Sourcing, purchasing, or procurement experience within CPG or food industries preferred
• Excited about building up strategy and future leadership opportunities within the company
• Collaborative and strategic in nature; passionate about relationship development and maintenance both internally and with partners
