Summary
The Senior Manager, Global Lean Leader provides strong leadership for the global continuous improvement function to create, implement and sustain a strong Lean Hollister Production System while ensuring the delivery of key Quality, Service & Cost Objectives. This is a transformational role as part of the continuous improvement global team to support both plant and distribution locations to ensure the overall lean production system and culture advance and sustain for Hollister. The role is both hands on doing, coaching, mentoring but also having the ability to create and deploy a strategic roadmap to get Hollister to a world class operation. Candidates for this position can be located in one of the following Hollister locations: Libertyville, Ballina, or Kaunas (this requisition is for Libertyville). Hollister Incorporated is operating in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Educate and coach the organization on the culture of continuous improvement and necessary behavioral development, including a culture of continually challenging the status quo, autonomous teams and leadership structures. Includes sharing of best practices.
  • Critical Support to help create, drive, and implement the overall Continuous Improvement (CI) Strategy for Global Operations, including global standardization of the CI lean framework and the Hollister Production System, in order to drive business results
  • Hands on teaching and deployment required at local site location from Leadership to operator associates.
  • Take responsibility for Global Operations strategic initiative projects as appropriate to further drive operation excellence and CI.
Essential Functions Of The Role
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40% of time globally
  • Ability to interface with a computer for a long period of time
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Occasional movement over large manufacturing floor area
  • Work flexible start/stop times, across all shifts
  • Ability to lead a team of approximately 8 direct reports
  • Public speaking and significant reading requirements
Work Experience Requirements
  • Experience creating and working within a lean manufacturing production system (Shingo or associated award recognition a plus)
  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8-12
  • Strong track record of having worked in a world class Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing environment
  • 8 - 12 years of professional experience in a progressive manufacturing environment with a proven track record of performance management, including supervisory level experience for a minimum of 3 years
Education Requirements
  • Project Management experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or other related field required
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge
  • Experience in hourly system/data analytics (big data) preferred
  • Strong facilitation skills, change management experience and project management
  • Experience in equipment and process validation preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational/multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a cross-functional team and challenge the status quo/change agent in order to deliver business results
  • Black Belt Certification preferred with knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies required
  • Strong in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution of global projects
  • Experience in automation systems and manufacturing technology preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems preferred
