Senior Manager - Contract Manufacturing - Food

Our Client is growing plant based good manufacture, they have been going through hugh grow along with aquisations and now on looking to transform their supply chain and operations fuctions.

They now require a proven Senior Manager of Contract Manufacturing to join their team.

About this opportunity

This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective packaging sourcing strategies to optimize packaging costs, service to customers, inventory, and obsolescence risk. S/He will be also responsible for cost saving measures, drafting, and managing contracts, ensuring performance to contract obligations, and quantitative analysis to identify financial impacts of decisions. The position will be involved in developing and vetting capital investment plans for the Coman sites, tied to changes needed capabilities and/or capacity.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Cultivate supplier and manufacturer relationships through regular communication and business reviews
• Maintain SKU production start dates and track deliveries to meet start date; schedule and lead meeting with 3rd parties and internal stakeholder to get deliveries completed
• Key internal contact and interface with the 3rd party for product launches from the coman locations
• Identify cost saving measures at 3rd party locations
• Supports the business with facts and analysis in areas needing capital investment with the coman locations.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning team and 3rd party management to align on future production needs
• Work to understand available capacity line process detail, and troubleshoot production line layouts for efficiencies and quality
• Create and implement programs to develop, continuously improve, govern, rationalize, and monitor agreed SLA's/KPI's

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• 7+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Clearly communicates goals and objectives
• Lean manufacturing mindset, with end-to-end supply chain experience, highly self-driven
• Highly organized, with strong analytical skills and champions collaboration
• Able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
• Familiar with and comfortable working in a production environment
• Strong commercial acumen, with an action bias, able to work successfully towards strict deadlines
