Job Description
The Sr. Lead Safety Advisor is responsible for providing technical leadership and consultation in the field of Restaurant specific Environmental, Health and Safety. This role would serve as an advisor on Restaurant workplace safety efforts and initiatives. This role would be responsible for maintaining updated knowledge of People Safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), support compliance efforts, perform regular trend analyses to identify areas for safety intervention & oversight, and perform safety assessments and education where needed.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare presentations and participate in meetings as necessary to discuss emerging restaurant trends and opportunities.
  • Collaboratively work with and develop relationships with Operations Leads and Facilities Equipment field consultants and communicate safety concerns or emerging trends.
  • Assist with the development & implementation of new safety programs.
  • Aid in the response of safety regulatory inquiries as deemed appropriate.
  • Provide ad hoc assistance/guidance on safety related matters. Work with other members of the risk management team on other risk initiatives as requested.
  • Perform large loss review on any significant loss (>$75,000 or over) to identify root cause and prevent reoccurrence
  • Regular work responsibilities include:
  • Understands OSHA regulatory requirements as applicable to the restaurant environment.
  • Attend Operator Market Meeting as requested.
  • Perform regular loss analyses to identify root cause of specific safety trends in designated areas of the organization.
  • Perform mid-year claim analysis to review program progress and/or identify emerging trends by cause, state, location that may cause subsequent shifts or adjustments to Risk Management strategies.
  • Consult with key stakeholders across the organization on specific loss trends and safety hazards to help mitigate incidents and/or reoccurrence of incidents.
  • Prepare and deliver safety presentations.
  • Perform restaurant safety visits with or on behalf of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.
  • Consult to Safety & Claims Dashboard.
  • Work with key stakeholders on strategic solutions on new processes.
  • Support Operator-Owned restaurant-facing activities such as:
  • Assist in developing/updating safety best practices and protocols as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in on-site incident response and assessments for correction and continuous improvement
  • Advanced knowledge on People Safety regulations
  • Ability to perform safety evaluations and consult to findings
  • Development and implementation of environmental, health and safety protocols and policies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in working with regulators/governmental agencies
  • Restaurant safety and/or restaurant operations experience
