We are seeking a U.S. Federal Policy Lead to help us grow the energy storage market opportunity in the United States. You will lead our policy and regulatory strategy in the United States, including: defining policy innovations that would grow the energy storage market and the businesses success, creating and driving action plans to achieve policy innovations, engaging with industry colleagues and associations to build supporting coalitions, leading defensive efforts to preserve the value of energy storage for our customers, and being an integral part of strategic planning efforts.
Key responsibilities
· Own vision, development, and execution of our U.S. Federal policy positioning and strategy
Closely collaborate with colleagues from sales and product teams to lead the identification of policy and regulatory priorities that will advance our strategy.
· Creatively envision new policy concepts and regulatory opportunities that will meaningfully accelerate the energy storage market
· Own the creation of action plans to accomplish these priorities, including stakeholder, association, and coalition strategy

· Anticipate risks that may arise to existing customers and help customers navigate around them, including intervening in regulatory proceedings where appropriate
· Participate in association work on the business and our customers’ behalf
· Advise and collaborate with customers’ policy teams to help them achieve their goals and advise their thinking
Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including comfort speaking in front of groups and ability to present to senior executives.

- 7-10 years’ experience in energy-focused policy or regulatory work
- Proven ability to work well with others, and to build coalitions outside of an organization to accomplish goals.
- Ability to persuade others to your point of view.
- Analytical mind with the ability to connect the dots between customer business cases and policy developments, to identify where leading risks lie and where the greatest potential exists.
- Ability to seek and give advice and feedback.
- Belief that you can accomplish big things (your colleagues will support you!)
- Ownership mentality and excitement to see things through to completion.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in leading teams, cross-functional initiatives, and people management.
- Deep interest in energy storage and belief in its ability to drive a cleaner energy system.
