Key Responsibilities
The Security team helps us uphold the standards required to run a safe and successful airline. This includes global aviation compliance, corporate investigations and field investigations, and teams that deal with the security of our facilities, aircraft and employees worldwide.
Job Overview And Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Harassment & Discrimination Investigations, and is primarily responsible for conducting prompt, thorough, objective and confidential investigations of internal and external complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and/or policy violations. This position ensures that all internal and external investigations are conducted in accordance with the Company’s established policies and procedures. This position shall be responsible for conducting investigations globally.
  • Identifies, collects, analyzes and preserves documentary and physical evidence related to the matters being investigated
  • Prepares timely, detailed written investigative reports for review by an investigations manager prior to being distributed to the Senior Manager of Harassment & Discrimination Investigations, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and other senior leaders
  • Provides findings to the Senior Manager of Harassment & Discrimination Investigations, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and other senior leaders based on the investigative fact-finding and analysis of those facts
  • Manages prompt, thorough, and objective workplace investigations of complaints involving allegations of harassment and discrimination, and other policy violations, as assigned by the Senior Manager, Harassment & Discrimination Investigations

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • 3+ years of corporate investigative experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, fact-finding and evidence gathering skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Extensive experience conducting effective workplace investigations involving in-person or virtual interviews of employees and vendors throughout all functional areas
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Harassment and Discrimination experience
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Ability to build and maintain credibility within all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's Degree (Criminal Justice/Criminology, in Human Resources or other related fields) or equivalent work experience in a corporate setting investigating policy violations
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive, employment-related information
  • Ability to be flexible and exercise a sense of urgency in handling multiple cases, effectively planning, organizing and prioritizing cases
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous HR investigative experience
  • Experience working with and the ability to partner with Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Labor Relations, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to exercise sound judgment
