What You'll Do:
Serve as an in-house HR resource, offering guidance and updates on personnel policies and procedures.
Collaborate with all levels of management to resolve HR-related issues.
Participate in HR Assessments of new clients and contribute to client onboarding.
Assist with both routine and complex employee relations and performance matters.
Provide counsel on non-standard issues such as reorganization, policy development, and leadership mentoring.
Perform standard HR management duties including benefits oversight, handbook development, and job description creation.
Act as a resource for staff operational and compliance concerns.
Enhance and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and best practices.
Partner strategically with management to address employee engagement, retention, and issue resolution.
Oversee HR documentation maintenance in accordance with labor laws and best practices, delegating as needed.
Design and coordinate new employee onboarding and exit meetings, offering guidance on HR-related functions.
Contribute to various special projects aimed at enhancing HR functionality for clients.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required; higher-level degree preferred.
Professional HR certification highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of HR experience with increasing levels of autonomy and proactive engagement.
Experience in small to mid-sized companies and startups.
Strong administrative and client relationship skills.
Ability to work independently and delegate tasks effectively.
Proficiency in technology and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated professional judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Federal and Massachusetts employment regulations.
Effective consulting skills, with the ability to present HR information clearly and professionally.
Proven ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
