Job Description
Description:

OpenLoop is looking for a Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management to join our team remotely or at our HQ in Des Moines, Iowa.

  • Provide guidance and support to the RCM team in managing day-to-day operations, resolving complex billing issues, and maintaining strong relationships with payers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory agencies
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and addressing any concerns promptly
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting revenue cycle management, ensuring the organization remains agile and proactive in addressing challenges
  • Oversee success of the end-to-end revenue cycle process, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, collections, and account resolution
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement RCM policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards and company objectives
  • Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks
  • Owns key client relationship management in relation to RCM items
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of RCM processes and systems, recommending and implementing changes to improve efficiency, productivity, and client satisfaction
  • Manages daily operations of RCM related to client reporting and relationships
  • Develop and execute Revenue Cycle Management department strategies to optimize revenue and cash flow while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations
Requirements:
  • Advanced Computer Skills - Routine use of electronic mail and computer systems
  • Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices
  • 10+ years of revenue cycle management experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices
  • Ability to communicate with all levels off stakeholder
  • Comfort and experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, trending, benchmarking, analysis of department performance, along with general and executive financial reporting
  • Telehealth experience preferred
  • 3+ years of direct client management
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle management principles and practices, including medical billing, coding, collections, managed care products, regulatory compliance, payer credentialing, and financial reporting
  • 5+ years of RCM strategic department metric and people management required
  • Ability to incorporate complex and complicated functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives
  • Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, trending, benchmarking, and financial analysis of the department performance
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management
