Job Description

This is a hybrid role, 2 days weekly on site in Seattle preferred.

Our client is looking for a Senior Design Lead. In this role, problem solving through design will be the focus, and you should feel comfortable moving between both visual and interaction design as a lead designer, working with other team members and clients to drive great results. This is a fluid role in a highly collaborative environment where self-starters and curious learners will thrive. The spectrum of responsibilities includes understanding the business challenges, rapid ideation, concept wireframing, system design, and UX design, as well as brand, typography, color, visual, and motion design. You’ll work collaboratively with creative directors and world-class designers on a variety of consultative engagements.

What you’ll be doing:

- Work closely with creative directors and project management to provide design and resource leadership

- Help to develop, mentor, and grow design team

- Understand project and business requirements and assist with project planning

- Help develop design approach and set experience and visual directions

- Drive and deliver across all phases from concept to UX models, user flows, to production-ready assets

- Bring visual design expertise for typography, color, grid, brand, imagery, infographics, and storytelling

- Hone solutions with consideration for interaction, transition, and motion

- Help to develop and evolve design processes and tools


Skills you must have to be successful:

- Outstanding portfolio of work with top global brand(s)

- 6+ years of experience delivering exceptional results in complex modern work environments

- An undying passion for great design and a meticulous attention to detail

- Demonstrated communication, collaboration and presentation skills

- Desire to help build talent and grow into further leadership roles

- Ability to solve design problems across a diverse range of project types (i.e. consumer, business, etc.)

- Experience shipping software or digital solutions

- Expertise with modern design tools – Figma, Adobe, etc.

- BA/BS in design
