Senior Corporate Paralegal

Position Summary:
This role will report to the General Counsel. The Senior Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for providing contract review and operational contract management. This individual will also manage the legal billing platform and legal bills, contribute to and/or lead project management of special projects as tasked by the General Counsel, perform administrative tasks and projects for the legal department on an as-needed basis, and conduct research and gather information using general and legal research tools.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Engages and collaborates proactively and cross-functionally with other business units at all levels throughout the organization to ensure that agreements adequately protect the company’s interests.
- Manages the legal billing platform and legal bills.
- Work effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keep commitments; keep others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues; address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; address others by name, title, or other respectful identifier, and respect the diversity of our work force in actions, words, and deeds.

- Ensures highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of FFF.
- Performs administrative tasks and projects for the legal department on an as-needed basis.
- Conducts legal and other general research on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, contractual and operational matters involving the business, including the relevant legislation, regulations, rules, and guidance.
- Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by always working in a safe manner and immediately reporting any injury, safety hazard, or program violation.
- Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.
- Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- Understand and internalize the Company’s purpose, display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.
- Contributes to and/or lead project management of special projects as tasked by the General Counsel.
- Creates, manages, and distributes templates and other documents.
- Sets goal, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
- Displays dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- Independently and through partnership with attorneys, reviews, and manages commercial contracts, including agreements with customers, vendors, and consultants.
- Supports litigation management as needed.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance at all times.
- Understands and internalizes FFF’s purpose, display loyalty to FFF and its organizational values.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required Education:
- Certificate of completion from a US recognized paralegal training program is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
- Pharmaceutical, life sciences industry a plus.
- Expertise in using Microsoft Word (specifically the “Tracking” or “Redlining” functions of MS Word) and Microsoft Excel.
- Must have at least seven (7) years of experience, [eleven (11) years of experience for non-degreed candidates], in a mix of a major law firm or the legal function of a major corporation.

- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.
Mental Demands:
Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
