Senior Privacy Paralegal (Remote)

• Review and draft data protection agreements, transfer agreements, and standard contractual clauses with internal and external parties, including assisting with privacy assessments
• Review, analyze, and draft privacy terms in a wide variety of commercial contracts for our sales, procurement, technology, HR, security, supplier relations, and operations departments, working with both internal and external clients and suppliers
• Advise colleagues in Legal and internal clients concerning all matters of data protection and privacy to promote compliance with global data protection laws
• Advise on privacy issues related to new products and services
• Advise internal staff based on privacy policies, procedures, and strategies
• Research and monitor changes in laws, regulations, trends, discussions, and best business practices related to data protection and privacy, and communicate internally, proposing risk mitigation strategies and changes to our policies and guidelines accordingly

• Relevant privacy certification e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent is a plus
• Ability to translate the legal data protection obligations in the context of the services the company provides
• Experience with OneTrust or a similar platform is an asset
• Must be a self-starter, with excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written skills
• Ability to travel if necessary
• Experience in the travel industry is preferred, but not essential
• Qualified paralegal with a minimum of 8+ years of experience working on data privacy matters
• Must have a customer-service-oriented approach with an eye toward practical application and an understanding of how legal issues fit into the overall strategic plans of the business
• Good command of English
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, and organizations, and with a diverse group of colleagues, including in-house attorneys, suppliers, and customers at all levels

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Privacy Paralegal is between $50 000 and $70 000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
