The opportunity:

The Sun Life Health and Risk Solutions business has ambitious growth goals, including support of our growing stop-loss business and expansion further into the health solution space. To support these goals, this role will assist in development and execution of new sales technologies, strategies and tools, such as Salesforce enhancements, to support our ability to successfully manage prospect inventory, improve sales effectiveness, deepen relationships and provide exceptional service to both employer clients and brokers. The sales enablement team acts as a bridge between data & analytics, marketing, market research, and client experience teams to our distribution and client management teams to identify and execute pilot programs and continuous improvement opportunities. Leveraging these connections, this individual will have the opportunity to apply design thinking best practices, facilitate sessions and surveys to gather feedback, test ideas in the market to help us prioritize our most valuable initiatives, and assist in the development and assessment of pilot programs


How you will contribute:

  • Build strong relationships with distribution and client management teams; gather and analyze direct feedback from sales managers and sales representatives
  • Help support, facilitate, and participate in ideation and concept development sessions with the sales team and internal partners to gather insights to improve the sales process
  • Monitor program initiatives, provide data analysis and reporting, develop recommendations for improving tracking and performance or for future development
  • Collaborate with team members, provide insights and assist in managing new sales enablement initiatives including vendor and digital solutions
  • Lead and project manage our Salesforce enhancement road map for the Health and Risk Solutions organization
  • Help design reporting and dashboards within Salesforce with the product team and evaluate new ways to display data within sales tools
  • Participate in the development of training and user documentation for the distribution and client management teams related to Salesforce and act as the Salesforce subject matter expert for Health and Risk Solutions
  • Partner with the IT product team and work with key stakeholders like distribution, client management, and analytics to gather, understand and define business requirements and prioritize enhancements opportunities according to business value and strategic objectives
  • Develop, define and track clear measures of success for sales enablement initiatives
  • Evaluate new and existing digital sales/sales enablement tools in terms of value they add to the sales process, new business sales results, and retention goals; discover what is working well in other areas of the organization to evaluate potential additions and share what is working for us
  • Support “test and learn” culture through design thinking best practices such as ideation, prototyping, market testing, and pilot program development


What you will bring with you

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and potential opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Salesforce experience required – understanding salesforce capabilities and experience deploying Salesforce solutions
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce
  • Sales enablement, distribution, business development or client management experience a plus
  • General insurance industry and business process knowledge to assist with process design and improvement
  • Demonstrated success juggling multiple priorities and acting with a sense of urgency
  • Experience as a project manager managing IT projects utilizing agile methodology preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a dedication to high-quality results
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with individuals across functions and at different levels across the organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional relationship building, oral and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to stretch into learning opportunities

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

  • Northern region: $101,600 - $152,400 annually
  • Central region: $95,000 - $142, 600 annually
  • Southern region: $90,100 - $135,200 annually


If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $86,00 - $129,000 annually


If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $101,600 - $152,400 annually.


If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $95,000 -$142,600 annually.
