Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Development Manager based in our Austin office, who will play a pivotal role in leading our global Business Development team. This multifaceted position demands a seasoned leader with a proven track record in scaling and optimizing global teams, as well as a comprehensive understanding of orchestrating international growth initiatives. This role also encompasses refining and building processes, optimizing the BDR tech stack, making recommendations for - and the meticulous tracking and analysis of - Key Performance Indicators, and providing guidance, coaching, and support to not only achieve monthly inbound and outbound targets globally, but also foster a culture of continuous improvement, confidence, and trust within the team.


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate not only an acute acumen for strategic management, but also an intrinsic ability to refine processes, enhance the technological infrastructure, and align the team's operations with the overarching organizational objectives. Notably, with several open headcount for market development representatives, this individual will be instrumental in crafting a globally harmonized onboarding and training blueprint that aligns with the distinct market dynamics of diverse regions.


THIS ROLE IS IN OFFICE MON-FRI, 8AM-5PM.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with Sales & Marketing leadership, providing detailed reports and dashboards on lead generation activities, results, and performance metrics
  • Lead the recruitment process for new Market Development Reps, identifying top talent to build a high-performing team
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding and continued education programs to ensure team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams in marketing and sales to align strategies and maximize revenue growth
  • Design and implement effective playbooks, processes, and methodologies to drive outbound lead generation, qualification, pipeline management, and lead hand-off
  • Develop team members' sales skills, product knowledge, and overall effectiveness to support both their career growth and day-to-day performance including prospecting techniques, outbound strategies, and more
  • Ensure operational excellence through disciplined adherence to sales disciplines and CRM hygiene
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing leadership to establish strategic objectives and goals
  • Provide developmental feedback for team members' professional growth and advancement


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Metrics-driven, with an analytical approach to solving business problems and coaching sales reps, continually optimize sales cadences, pitches, and collateral for optimal results
  • Minimum of 3 years of front-line MDR, SDR or BDR experience
  • Expertise in leveraging quantitative skills to measure, manage, and optimize team activity and productivity
  • Proven track record of building targeted outreach strategies and quick follow-up with inbound leads
  • Proficiency in leveraging CRM software to manage high-performing teams
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needs
  • Strong familiarity with sales tools like HubSpot, SalesForce, Zoho, or Outreach.
  • 1-3 years of management experience leading a Sales Development team (SDR, MDR, BDR) with a higher emphasis on calls at a fast-growing SaaS company
