Senior Branch Banking Operations Manager

What you'll do:
The Operations Manager promotes the Bank in a professional manner by providing excellent client service. Responsible for supporting the Operations Manager, Regional Manager and/or Regional President and ensuring the branch operational activities run smoothly and efficiently. Performs both Personal Banker and CSR functions in the delivery of efficient, accurate and professional service that defines a quality client experience. Identifies client needs and generates leads to help build new and maintain existing client relationships. Complies with all internal and regulatory policies and procedures and successfully completes all required training. Provides supervision, leadership, training and support to less experienced staff members.
What we are looking for:
  • Provides supervision and support to all assigned areas of branch operations where service or assistance is needed; oversees activities of CSRs, Personal Bankers, and other operations personnel; opens and closes the branch.
  • Consistently applies sound decision-making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures; keeps within assigned approval limits and uses these instances as learning tools for employee development.
  • Actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank’s products and services; monitors and coaches staff in cross-selling and product presentation; assists the organization of the branch, coordinating available resources (e.g., staff, materials, etc.) for maximum results.
  • Leadership responsibilities to include but not limited to assigning and reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, assisting others in resolving problems within the given authority, approving transactions within authority levels, and training others in branch operations.
  • Participates in the development and growth of the branch staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control through the branch operational review, and recommends and initiates corrective actions; conducts unannounced audits of all branch cash funds and cash limits; ensures the branch is in compliance with established Bank policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in banking and/or financial services.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in branch banking.
  • High school graduation or GED and 8 - 10 years or more of experience in increasingly responsible branch operations management roles.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services.
  • Previous experience directly supervising other employees (small to medium group: 1 - 12 staff).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
  • Intermediate to advanced written and spoken communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability to read, interpret and follow through on documents, procedures, reports, and correspondence.
Compensation Information:
The salary range for new hires is generally $88,045 - $108,761. Salary amount reflects Southern California, salary is determined by specific job location.
In addition, the role may be eligible for an annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
