Branch Banking Manager Jobs

1+ year business development management/leadership experience strongly preferred

Proactively serve as role model and coach business development activities, including opportunity spotting/referrals, relationship building, outbound calling and lobby management

Skilled in identifying client needs to develop and grow business

Tenacious focus on the delivery of an exceptional client experience

Manage inside business development activities, promoting the bank’s full suite of consumer and business products, ensuring growth goals are achieved

Model talent development skills and business development skills to facilitate strong employee engagement

High school graduation or GED and 8 - 10 years or more of experience in increasingly responsible branch operations management roles.

Participates in the development and growth of the branch staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Intermediate to advanced experience in banking and/or financial services.

Intermediate to advanced experience in branch banking.

Intermediate to advanced written and spoken communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services.

Ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, legal, enterprise risk management, compliance, treasury, and finance

Manage projects and ad-hoc requests for analyses to support other business functions in management decision making

Ability to manage complex financial, reporting and regulatory matters or processes

Responsible for leading, mentoring and developing the accounting team and ensuring appropriate allocation of responsibilities

Build effective relationships across other teams including treasury, finance, legal, compliance, and Bank leadership

6+ years related experience, either Big 4 accounting or a mix of Big 4 and industry experience

Ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, legal, enterprise risk management, compliance, treasury, and finance

Manage individual and team performance with ongoing coaching conversations, regular recurring 1 on 1s, and branch communications.

Carries out responsibilities with professionalism, respect for others, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Demonstrated knowledge of Teller functions, New Accounts procedures, ATM processes, Online Banking, and other activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Provides assistance troubleshooting and problem solving with the team and other departments to resolve any service-related issues.

Works cross functionally (with lending, loan operations, deposit operations, etc.) to develop customer relationships and ensure smooth operations in branch.

BS/BA degree in business/management related field or equivalent experience.

Professional staff development, performance management, training, and employee counseling skills are required. Proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Develop and coach branch team profiling and sales skills while ensuring high product knowledge.

Oversees branch facility management such as maintenance, repairs, remodeling and branch security.

Promotes core deposit growth through creation and management of in branch sales promotions.

Strong business and financial acumen including the ability to asses and manage risk. Proven history of negotiation and influencing skills.

Develop skills of staff through goal-setting, coaching, problem resolution, delegation, training, counseling, and performance management.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Retail sales experience serving consumers and small business clients – required.

High School diploma or equivalent - required. Associates degree or higher in Business, Accounting and/or Finance – preferred.

Ability to develop and manage income and expense budget(s).

Thoroughly understands and applies principles, procedures, compliance requirements, state/federal regulations, and policies related to assigned area of oversight.
