Job Summary
The Illinois State University Athletics Department is committed to academic and athletic excellence as it prepares today's student-athletes to become tomorrow's leaders.
This service-driven leadership role is integral in providing seamless support with regards to various financial, administrative, and personnel matters within the Intercollegiate Athletics Department. Leadership abilities and professional image are crucial to the role. This position develops, implements, manages, and continually improves talent acquisition, development, and retention programs aimed at improving overall department morale, unity, and competitive success. This position also regularly evaluates departmental business practices in order to identify areas that warrant improvement. This position oversees the implementation and progress of applicable changes. This position oversees applicable NCAA, MVC, and MVFC reporting. Another primary duty of this position includes managing all budgets under the Athletic Department's umbrella ($30mil+). This position participates in the department's long-term goal setting and planning process and serves as a member of the leadership team. This position supervises the business office, facilities, events, game operations, the golf course, and the equipment
rooms.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in a financial, administrative, or personnel role in intercollegiate athletics; including experience with NCAA regulations, procedures, and processes.
3. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities on a daily basis.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage constant interruptions and shift priorities as issues arise.
7. Demonstrated ability to effectively and collegially interact with a variety of personnel including management, coaches, student-athletes, and various staff members.
8. Demonstrated ability to work confidentially with a variety of security sensitive information including personnel files and scholarship information.
9. Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
10. Emotionally intelligent and demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
