Senior Ai/Ml Engineer

This position focuses on detailed implementation of our AI/ML systems, and operationalizing the model design, training, deployment and monitoring
Help Tarana build a world-class data system from the ground up! We have growing data-sets and several exciting Machine Learning systems to create or improve; including automated diagnosis of equipment; network anomaly detection and mitigation; and intelligent RF network optimization; and technical support automation using LLMs. We are looking for experienced AI/ML Engineers who can hit the ground running, and help us make progress on these projects quickly.
In your first year at Tarana, you will work with our team to implement and scale our inference engines. You will focus on:

• Data tracking and quality monitoring
• Model monitoring and visualization
• Model governance
• Operationalizing Reinforcement Learning and Transfer Learning
• Model training and tuning
• Feature Engineering
• Model visualization, explanation and tracking
• Model inference and serving

You will work with our Data Engineers, Data Scientists and domain experts to build models and systems that make accurate, useful inferences at scale, and improve as new data arrives.
This is a hands-on role: you will be building and deploying our AI/ML models as we grow the team. You will need to fill in for many roles as we scale the team: you may need to do MLOps, modeling implementation, system design and data visualization as well. You must work well with others: you will need to interact with people across the organization to successfully build and maintain a high volume data architecture.
Required Skills & Experience:

• MS in Computer Science or Statistics with an emphasis on AI/ML or Systems
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. at scale
• 5-12 years of experience building large scale, ML/AI models
• Strong Python skills
• Strong understanding of ML, AI, Information Theory and Statistical Learning Theory
• Experience with Large Language Models and tools a plus
• Understanding of signal processing is a bonus
• Experience re-incorporating feedback in your models
• Passionate and excited about working in a fast moving startup with lots of exciting projects and opportunities for growth

The salary range for this position is: $130,000 to $175,000
Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
