Senior Accountant Jobs

Responsibilities

• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Prepare account reconciliations, analysis, and certifications in Excel.
• Assist in month end and year end close as well as financial audits.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Prepare and review complex entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting to the GL in ERP system.
• Handle billing for clients
• Provide standard and specialized financial reports to address revenue and expenses on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate presentation of information.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analyze the results to remediate discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Communicates effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, via email or other digital format and on the telephone
• Minimum of 5 years of Accounting Supervisory experience or as Senior Accountant
• Good communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills
• Ability to solve complex problems while leveraging team member expertise
• Demonstrates leadership through persuasion and motivation, planning and organizing, taking initiative and making appropriate decisions
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in accounting required
• Organizes and schedules work effectively
• Works independently and meet deadlines.
• Exemplifies the values and expectations of a senior accountant, which include a high level of executive presence, professionalism, ethical standards, integrity and credibility
• Highly skilled in Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Can multi-task and work well under time constraints
• Experience with Oracle, MS Dynamics or similar ERP
• Works well in a fast-paced environment with ongoing change
