We are looking for a full-time senior analyst, GL accountant to join the accounting team. The senior analyst is responsible for preparing accounting information as part of Company’s financial accounting and close processes. This includes analyzing balance sheet accounts as well as revenue recognition. A successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles, familiarity with GAAP and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with different level of employees.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with financial and bank audits and external auditor requests
- Work with other members of the accounting and finance team or other departments on more complex accounting projects and initiatives
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations (i.e. debt, leases, AR, revenue, etc.)
- Researches, analyzes and uses independent judgment in a variety of daily and non-routine decisions
- Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
- Assist with analyzing financial statement accounts on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Primary responsibility is to prepare supporting schedules and post journal entries for month end close
- Assist with other unspecified activities as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline
Expertise & Experience:
- Ability to meet tight month end closing requirements and processes.
- At least 3 years of experience in general accounting
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Experience with computerized ledger systems (SAP Business by Design preferred, but not required)
- Demonstrated experience with general ledger account reconciliations including month end closing processes and general knowledge of accounting principles.
Competencies:
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet capabilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to be pro-active and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team oriented person who can focus on the details.
- Superior organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills

Compensation:
- The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $88K-$92K salary for annual base salary. Employees are eligible for additional discretionary bonuses. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
