Job Description
Senior Accountant
Location: Monmouth County NJ
Hybrid / Remote 2 days per week
Salary: To $115K plus incentives
Benefits: Excellent benefits including healthcare, 401K, generous PTO. Campus includes parking and gym onsite.
Responsibilities
  • Create ad-hoc reports from the general ledger, investment portfolio, and other data systems
  • Prepare account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for analyzing balance sheet and income statement trends and variances.
  • Responsible for accounting for investment securities and borrowings portfolios and maintaining the general ledger for several subsidiaries.
  • Assist in the preparation, review and submission of various internal and external financial reports.
  • Assist with projects associated with a fast paced and growing organization.
Qualifications
  • Strong research, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with a financial services related general ledger and investment portfolio systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures associated with investment securities
  • Experience in preparing bank, general ledger, and off-balance sheet account reconciliations, and researching and clearing reconciling items.
  • Attention to detail, control oriented and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced Accounting environment which has tight deadlines to Senior Management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products, primarily Excel, and its analytical, formula, and financial functions (specifically V-Look-ups, Pivot Tables and Sum If formulas)
