Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a healthy sense of professional skepticism; review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Prepare accurate, timely internal financial analyses based on the needs of the organization
• Ensure accounting compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations
• Prepares/reviews/analyzes ad-hoc reports as needed
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, related analysis and complete data entry
• Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close
• Work closely with Controller and Accounting Manager maintaining accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Adept at identifying and proposing solutions to various business problems
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred
• Track record of process improvement implementation/work in prior roles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and quantitative skills with a passion for using data to drive better decision-making
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks (adapting to change where necessary) in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• 3-5+ years of financial accounting experience, Public Accounting experience preferred
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate, both verbally and written, with all levels of the organization
• Proactive and a team player with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude
• Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting required
• Team player with knowledge of GAAP, relevant laws, regulations, procedures, and policies
• Ability to maintain confidential information
