Pheast is seeking an experienced Scientist with expert knowledge in oncology and/or immuno-oncology. The ideal candidate is a creative scientist with extensive assay development experience and/or working with multi-omics datasets (e.g. single cell RNAseq, NGS, multi-color flow cytometry). A preference will be given to those with in vivo oncology experience. There will be many opportunities to learn new skills, further professional growth and development in a fast-growing biotech startup. This position will report to the Director of Discovery.
Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Help to establish and promote an inclusive, collaborative, and innovation driven company culture
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant scientific literature and methodology, leverage published literature to inform screening efforts
- Develop and deploy high throughput screening platforms to identify new targets
- Lead projects for identification of novel myeloid cell immunotherapy targets
- Develop and implement assays for early-stage validation of novel target hits, including MoA studies
- Manage CRO activities and collaborate with other functional teams to support and advance all Pheast programs
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment to contribute to multiple projects
- Experience with various molecular biology techniques (e.g. tissue culture, gene overexpression/knock-out) is required
- A self-motivated individual with excellent record keeping and written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in high-throughput screening methods and/or conducting omics-data analysis (e.g. single cell RNAseq, NGS) is highly preferred
- Experience with in vivo studies is highly preferred
- Experience in flow cytometry and/or working with immune cell is highly preferred
- PhD. in Molecular Biology, Cancer biology, Immunology or related fields with minimum 2 years of post-doc or industry experience
