Scheduler-Receptionist, Radiology (Ft, Days) Monterey Park Hospital

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a Scheduler/Receptionist for our Radiology Department. This is a full time, 8 hour day shift position. This position reports to the Supervisor of Clinical Services.

The Scheduler/Receptionist position is responsible for the orderly, timely, and accurate maintenance of Radiology schedules and records, patient registration for radiologic procedures by collecting patient demographics, verifying insurance and authorizations and collecting copays as needed; Radiology Department front desk reception duties such as delivering all mail, faxes, and messages as well as answering calls in a timely manner and ensuring the front desk is never left unattended and other additional administrative functions of the Radiology Department as assigned. The ideal candidate will be dependable and professional and have knowledge of the CDM and CPT codes and can document patient charges with at least 98% accuracy.

Minimum Experience: 2 yrs experience working as a receptionist or scheduler in a clinic or in a hospital setting, as a unit secretary or registration clerk in an Admitting Department.

Required Certification/Registration: Current BLS/CPR
